How to generate income from art
Australian art is a highly desirable collectable. It also offers impressive investment opportunities in
terms of its potential capital appreciation and our rental return proposition.
What is the rental proposition?
Balanced art investment portfolios are purchased by our clients and then rented out to carefully selected corporations. We pay the owner an agreed rental income for these pieces in convenient quarterly instalments for a fixed term.
We currently offer up to 6% p.a. rental return for a fixed 3 year term, or up to 8% p.a. for a fixed 2 years.
How does it work?
Firstly, purchase an art portfolio with us.
Our art advisors will work with you to build a customised portfolio according to your tastes and investment requirements.
We will take the artwork to the corporate leasing market.
Our rental division takes the art to the corporate leasing market on behalf of the client.
Enjoy our rental return guarantee.
A rental return on the artwork will be paid to you for the full term of the agreement.
We are currently offering a highly attractive rental return of 6% p.a. for 3 years, or 8% p.a. for 2 years. Rental returns are worked out as a percentage of the total portfolio cost, which
includes the artwork, framing and stretching.
Payments commence 1 month after purchases are fully paid and are paid quarterly in arrears. For
example, a purchase finalised on 1 January 2009 will commence in the rental program on 1 February 2009 and the first rental payment will be due on 1 May 2009.
At the end of the guaranteed rental period, you will be offered the choice to place the art into storage, leave the art in the rental pool, take the artwork home or sell it. If you chose to continue in the rental program, rental returns can only be paid once the artwork has been re-rented.
